This is a great thermometer that can be used for a number of cooking functions, however it cannot be left in the meat while cooking, (see the other thermometer in our store that can be left in while cooking) Just swing the spit away from the heat and stop the motor and then insert the thermometer to check the internal temperature. It responds very quickly and will give a reading in 5-10 seconds.
Comes with a clip to allow it to be clipped to a pot or jug to measure liquids as well.
Do not immerse in water. Wipe clean with a damp cloth. Do not use dishwasher.
